I've actually been told:
"That place, you know THAT PLACE"
"that burger place" (It was a BBQ place that she usually gets a burger at)
"that place that is by Costco" (It was a half mile away and there are 20 other places that are much more "by" the Costco and 9 out of 10 times we go there we don't even drive past the Costco).

A man calls his wife:
He - "Come meet me in town."
She - "Where?"
He- "You remember that place where we looked at that big diamond ring you liked?"
She - "You bet I do!"
He - "Well, then the pub right next door.'

On mistakes of accident by bureaucracy, I would add this clip from Terry Gilliam's film Brazil. It could be traumatic, involving false imprisonment, so not recommended for all. The Central Services segment beginning with Robert Dinero as an unauthorized HVAC repair person vs the authorized Central Services group arriving is hilarious, bureaucracy vs bureaucracy. The film is humorous in dark, though recommended for a full view, IMO.
