I started my IT career in the European headquarters of American Express in the seaside town of Brighton, UK. This was in the days of DOS and Windows 3.1 (we were using IBM PC DOS 5.0 at the time). Amex House, or the 'wedding cake' as it was known, was a large building and the top floors on the South side of the building had an excellent panoramic view of the English Channel. Queue my best ever desktop support conversation with a user...

Me: Can you see the C: prompt?
User: No, i'm on the wrong side of the building...

Actual senior VP at major bank: I can’t type an *. It keeps typing 8.

And even then, i see clothes as purely functional, so i got several times the same hoodies, t-shirts and pants so i always look the same... (almost). It makes live easier, i don't have to choose clothes...

When I find something I like I buy multiples in different colors. I have 8 polo shirts and 8 pairs of shorts that are identical other than color; and 8 identical short sleeve button down shirts in different colors and patterns. I also own about 30 tie-dye t-shirts and 5 pairs of sweatshorts. I just need to ensure the colors don't clash.

I was a vinyl dj in the time cdj's did not exist like today, and our rule was, it must fit (with 2 ppl in the front) in our car. our car back then was a 1988 VW Polo, something like this.:

That car did suffer from the weight, especially on steep slopes.. But it hauled us arround trough the whole Belgium...
