A Call For Humor!

Had installed OS2 for a while and tested, because of integrated speech recognition, but for this task the processors for home use in early 90's did do no good job.
Besides this the OS worked flawless though not much choice of software for it (some texting and imaging software was available).
Might have been a big change 30 years ago, but now we have Linux ...

Let's not forget the unforgettable OS2 (both MS & IBM at the get go). But this all pales in comparison to running Unix (true blue) from 5.25 floppies, IIRC a count of thirty something.

OS/2 was closer to 50 disks with the development tools. The IBM manuals for developing software on OS/2 took up almost 4 feet on a book shelf. It was actually a great operating system with much better / faster multithreading than UNIX or NT. The UI could have been better.

Oh yes, my first computer... german version called Schneider CPC 6128 :)
With CP/M and cuple of programing languages, had a vector graphic editor and data bases too. All already stripped out of it's original creator who didn't have money to push it to the end. Rast of the story what followed from all glorious sides whose nothing more than stealing. Speach whose curtusy of AY-3-8910.
