A Call For Humor!

we got many bridges like that, and even with protection and warnings all over the place trucks and vans still try and hit the bridge like the one in the Spesbroekstraat in the suburb of Wondelgem (Gent, Belgium), that already took a lot of vans and trucks to their graveyard... Here it's a schoolbus that ran into it...

And this is the same bridge from the other side...

and i could go on like this for while.. each year a few don't get it. This is an historic railroad bridge that can'nt be made higher for technical reasons with a lot of warnings on the roads that lead to it but still...

Heineken and Amstel are the same shit produced in the same factories.
We in Belgium call Heineken and Amstel piswater (don't need a translation i think from Dutch) and if you compare it to our standard Belgian pilser beers (Stella Artois, Jupiler, Alken Maes, ...) it is. Even our Carapils (lowlife low quality cheap beer) is better most think.

But we Dutch dialects speaking Belgians like to cuss our Dutch friends all the time. It's a part of our culture to be a bit rude to our friends... Something foreigners don't always get.

Reminds me of this one. :)

Maybe so, but can't they make the road lower?

Here in the UK, we have a lot of double decker buses.

When you sit on the top deck, you kind of hope the bus driver knows what they're doing. :)

That's hard to do there, as we are in the Polder swamps there The name of the street is litterally Spesbroekstraat which means the the swamp of hope-street. Spes is latin for hope, broek is Dietch (old Dutch) for swamp. The groundlevel of water is very high, and everything that goes below the surface floods all the time.

This is also an old historical bridge in a busy living quartier with no space. And there is are big roads a few hundred meter further, but people like to take shortcuts where they shouldn't.

I think that youtuber likely wins this category. 187 well-made videos, 329k subs and over 96 megaviews.

This is the most viewed of them.

Idk why I find these so entertaining. The reaction of the pedestrian is funny; the reaction of the driver as he gets out and takes a look is funny; even the sound of the crickets is funny. But Idk why.

And here it is after the 'rapid unscheduled cabriolet'...

This happened in December, 8 people hurt, though thankfully none seriously.

I am German and had to laugh heartily.
I love Belgian beers. I have to drink Duvel, Grimbergen Tripel and Westmalle Tripel from time to time.

Those are not even the best ones....

But we got over 3000 different beers officially registered of about 300 breweries, and many thousand not registered local craft beers that are only sold locally (in a few villages mostly). Beer is an essential part of our culture since forever. Only big brands are sold outside Belgium. We also got a wide variety of beer types, from dark heavy triple beers to what is called table-beer (almost no alcohol) that in old times used to be the daily drink for everybody like sodadrinks are now.

But that is a whole other topic.

Can't help but add a tidbit...
Best beer I ever had, without doubt, was from a monastery outside of München.

You're carrying owls to Athens. Germany has over 5,500 different types of beer and many strong beers are similar to Belgian Tripel beers.
But I really like being in Belgium, it's very close to me and I'm often in Liege and Brussels.

Strange to see my moniker attached to a @Waxx qoute. I thought I don’t remember posting that.
