I had a Willys ('41 I think) and used to start it with a crank.
For cars with no crank, if the battery was bad, we used to park in a down slope.

Zappa the cat, that is.
Well, the other one did, too, I suppose...

He had a thing about shoes.

When we traveled, we'd put our two cats up at "Club Vet". Zappa always traveled there with one of the two old Merrill mocs shown above (with his name written on it, so that it didn't get misplaced). It was his security blanket. We liked to call him zapatoes.
