A Call For Humor!

I had an old 6 .volt VW Beetle and the battery was never very strong. The headlights were not much better than candles. Anyway when the battery failed to start it I was able to get it running by jacking up the back wheel, putting it in top gear - 4th - then giving the wheel a good yank. Put it in neutral remove jack and away you go.

I had an electric car once.

My Pinto broke its timing belt.

The starter motor would move it along, could even shift to higher gears (non-interference valve train).

Got me to the next exit on the interstate, which fortunately, was pretty close by.

With a Ford dealer in sight.

Where I bought a belt.

And with my handy broomstick (for leverage) and a crescent wrench, I repaired it and was on my way again in a few minutes.

I had practice on that move. Leave the cover off so you could get to it easily.
