My 2nd wife was Chinese and Vietnamese but spoke Chinese a little bit and told me that when they speak they don't describe stuff in technical detail like English speakers do and that a lot of the communication is assumed and left for the listener to derive meaning from. I have no idea how that works but she was sometimes vague in communication and said later that she thought I would figure it out... LoL.

I take exactly the opposite approach (in case none has noticed): I effect to foist a barricade of abstruse and irrelevant loquaciousness to envelop and concomitantly to obscure a very simple point.

Mostly correct. Just two notes:

1. "I hear what you say," is more American than British.
2. "Quite good," can, depending how you say it, mean either pretty good or not good. "Quite" is an odd word that I wouldn't want to need to explain.
