I have no idea what an A6 even is. Some kind of Audi, right?

Many, many years ago -- we needed a new charcoal grille. After a decade or more of making do with cheap generics, I decided to buy a regular old Weber kettle grille*. One Saturday, when Mrs. H was busy with something else, our two (then quite young) kids and I went to Sears to look at grilles. I espied the base-level Weber 22-inch grille with a tag saying SALE.
Take my money! was probably my implicit response.
One of the kids noted that the regular price was also marked on the SALE tag. The regular price was (let's say) $49.96. The grille was on sale for (again, let's say) $49.95.
The sale price had been reduced by one cent.
:eek::facepalm:

I bought the grille.

On the bright side, we still have it, I still keep it outside 24/7/365, and it's still serviceable -- although some of its constituent parts (handles, charcoal grate, and the ash sweeper 'blades') have been replaced over the decades.

Heck, even at full price, I'd have felt it was a good deal!

photo taken in the summer of 2021 that happens to show it in situ in front of our little shed. :)

Mind you, our older child has degrees in economics from Georgetown and Oxford, and the younger one has a PhD in mathematics from University of Virginia.
... and at our house, we don't talk about my abilities with numbers.

Well, I think it's still operating cause you converted it to solar power, with that solar panel set up beside it!

Weber Grills Rock! I assume your kids learned at least that from you. LOL

You could let her drive. Then every left turn is an existential crisis for you.

That is indeed the Sophie’s choice I am faced with every time we drive in the same car.
If I drive endless side seat driving. If she drives, we are in constant peril because she has apparently very little spatial recognition.
Meltdown during left-hand turns. Screams that she can’t see anything at night. Freaks out driving on the highway. And when we are on long trips taking turn driving, I constantly have to be on guard because she tends to slide over and hug The yellow line dividing the roads going opposite ways, which is absolutely hair raising when we are out in rural or hilly areas with lots of curves going around the sides of hills or mountains. she’s driving practically straddling the line where a car is going to come around the bend towards us.

There simply is no good option that we have found yet for driving in the same car.

Self driving Tesla? Still at times hair-raising, but the manner or driving behavior is very variable rather than it always being the same terrorizing incident. Variety is the spice of life they say.

The American way is more logical because knowing the month is more important than knowing what day it is in that month.

I don't care what day you are referring to if you are planning a trip to the lake to go swimming in January. The answer will be NO regardless of the day.
The same goes for a 20 mile hike in August. The day doesn't matter.
