I went laser printer years ago and never looked back.

I was just looking those up yet again, and yet again I find that the cheap enough and small enough ones only do black-and-white, all the colour ones are expensive and two large. When are they going to fix that?

Hard to fix. It's basically 3 color delivery systems in one box. So it's pretty complex.

@MattHooper have you done a cost analysis of the cost over time and the printing expense per sheet on average? You should save a lot of money and on won't have like inkjet crap does with the wayyy too often nozzle cleanings that leak ink all over the bottom of the printer into a tray with a sponge in it.

Oh yeah, Laser printer from way back more than a decade ago. I do only black and white and when I rarely need color take it to a local drug store or Kinkos.

My current issue is all brands now kneecap your cartridge telling you it is empty when it isn't. My old Samsung died last year. Printer companies are now down on the sleaze index about where shady used car salesmen are.

I have a Brother inkjet that has large cartridges that last me about a year. The carts are emptied into a reservoir rather than go directly to the printhead. They aren’t cheap, but there’s no waste.
