Actually, this is a serious way to insulate a house - if you know how to do it.
Near to my location a monastery recently built a guest house in this way.

My paternal grandmother used to put a mix of candy corn and roasted salted peanuts in a bowl. A small handful popped into your mouth tastes just like a Payday Bar.
I love Payday Bars but they have skimping on the peanuts last few years.
