My folks had the 61 ? Lancer. All I can remember is that it was blue and had a push button transmission - - which I fiddled with, one day, waiting for my parents to sign me up for Camp Wakanda (I'm NOT kidding!) and it 'took off' into the woods with me along for the ride.
My first bit of automotive excitement.
IRCC, it was a cute car, but not well suited for a family with 4 'destructo' boys! Replaced a few years later with a Dodge Coronado.

Does the fruit fall far from the tree?
