The only remarkable thing Topping could actually do is create and sell a remote that offers a halfway decent range and doesn't require a laser focus on the DAC.
Nice... what kind of heatsink is on that baby and has the butter ever been chewy?I have a temperature controlled butter dish. It is amazing.
I did a blind test and chose margarine. I couldn't believe it wasn't butter.Beginning to wish I hadn’t mentioned the butter analogy.
Anyone ABX’d Butter and Margarine, no measurements just using your ears?
Keith
I'm sure Keith will reply just as soon as he can get his tongue out of his cheekMost of us here want a transparent DAC, and most DACs are transparent.
"Chewy" and "buttery" are not defined and certainly not scientific. Can I get 3dB more butter? To me "soft highs" means rolled-off highs which is not nigh-fidelity, not desirable, and unlikely in any non-broken DAC.
What is a blind ABX test?

Side track story - the Germans manufactured synthetic butter from coal during WW2 as a by product of making liquid fuel.I did a blind test and chose margarine. I couldn't believe it wasn't butter.
Whoa! You did a blind test between butter and margarine using your ears only? I've got to try that... How do you dig it out of your ear later?I did a blind test and chose margarine. I couldn't believe it wasn't butter.
Hmm.... remote is bluetooth and IR... no need any focus on Dac... remote for d90iii too...The only remarkable thing Topping could actually do is create and sell a remote that offers a halfway decent range and doesn't require a laser focus on the DAC.
His ears are made from corn.Whoa! You did a blind test between butter and margarine using your ears only? I've got to try that... How do you dig it out of your ear later?
It's corn!corn
