The 80s were such a chaotic time musically but also really interesting. This one is from the more obscure end of things sounding like a disco take on the teutonic zeuhl from Magma. The track is over 42 minutes long so pack your pipe beforehand.

Good sound on this one...
Always Liked Falco, never saw this video.
Liked the song better without the video. That was in BM (before marriage) so it might have been because of the women I was running around with that I did not see the video.
That seems like a good excuse, anyway.

George Benson's "Give Me The Night" was a catchy release by 1980 Quincy Jones' new production company.
"'Cause there's music in the air and lot's of lovin' everywhere, So give me the night, Give me the night ...."

Grover Washington, Jr. had the 1980 hit "Just The Two of Us".
" I see the crystal raindrops fall, And the beauty of it all, Is when the sun comes shining through ... Just the two of us, We can make it if we try ...."

Stevie Wonder's award winning 1984 release was "I Just Called to Say I Love You". [I remember seeing him on a USA black and white television variety show in 1964 when a child harmonica playing singer billed as "Little Stevie Wonder".]
"I just called to say I love you, I just called to say how much I care, I just called to say I love you, And I mean it from the bottom of my heart ...."

Tina Turner's "What's Love Got to Do With It" in 1984 assured her career. [She hooked me in 1969 when she uttered "...Got my nose wide open, baby...." to Ike on the song "Crazy 'Bout You Baby."]
"You must understand though the touch of your hand, Makes my pulse react ... It's physical, Only logical … What's love got to do with it, got to do with it?…."

ZZ Top busted open the 1983 playbook with "Gimmie All Your Lovin'".
"You got to whip it up, And hit me like a ton of lead ... Gimmie all your lovin', All your hugs and kisses too...."

I used to hang out with Grover Jr back inna day.
I count 10 albums released by Grover Washington, Jr. in the 1980 decade. Sure was prolific; although read that it was even 25 years before 1980 at age 12 he'd begun to play at some music clubs, only to pass away prematurely when he was just 56 years old 25 years ago.
