$7k and a gun to your head: which LCR are you taking?

Yeah. I'm talking about the KEF R recommendation--it will be a step down from the Blade, so I'm not sure if it will keep up with the others.
bro it's a KEF, a point source, the main thing about the Blade is that it can dig deep, get loud and has a beautiful response.

The only thing the R7 Meta wont keep up with is deep bass and ear scorching loudness. Apart from that only the Blade Meta truly surpasses it in what it does imo and others are better at giving a wider soundstage, with less tighter/focused imaging ofc.

Vertical directivity isn’t as important due to 1 - how we normally move and are spaced out in the horizontal plane and 2 - because our ears are separated horizontally we are sensitive to special effects in that dimension significantly more.

This makes sense. And it's not a huge difference between them. There's just a little more narrowing due to the MTM arrangement.

This room has a 7.6 ft ceiling and the center speaker is close to the floor (though it is carpeted) so if anything this can help while seated.

They're pretty good for 3000€/pair as a kit. Not sure if they sell them individually though.
I'll bet ya $5 HT market pressure will force them. LOL
Shouldn't be any big problem

It's only an issue if they set up their logistics and packaging in boxes with pairs that can't be easily separated.

For kit speakers that should be less of an issue.

But, what has me leaning toward the Ascilabs over those is size and directivity. And no need for any EQ.

The C8C has the most appeal right now due to design, measurements, and not needing an amplifier.

But I'm not in love with the looks. We'll see what the future holds.

Also, I'd like to know the dimensions.
only measurement that matters most is FR and nearly all speakers suggested here have a very good in room response, apart from blind, instant A/B tests i dont think much should stand out

all you need to do is see if you like the looks of a speaker OR if you want narrow and focused soundstage (kef, ascilab) or a wide and spacious one (revel, philharmonic, ascend)

A trio of Power Sound Audio MTM-212K-Ms, no gun needed. Would be my choice in any home theater-heavy use case and that budget.

I got two revel F226BE and one revel C426be for 8k delivered. A little over but not by much and a pretty hard to beat set of speakers.
Awesome, you'll enjoy them for many years to come.
