$7k and a gun to your head: which LCR are you taking?

I use Revel 226Be for LR and a C205 in the centre in a room that is exactly that size. Like you, I use the room for TV and audio. TV is 65". The 226Be are fantastic. I would prefer the C205 to go a little deeper, but have no issues with speech clarity or volume in my smallish room. The larger Revel centres aren't available here and frankly would be too big ! Hope this helps.

Sierra ELX imo.

Well I voted with my wallet and went Revel f226Be and C208 center because I found a great deal. But for current production centers I would go KEF R6 all day, and since most people think matching the L/R is important: R7s.
You can never go wrong with the Revels !
The Arendal 1723 Tower THX and matching center would be another.

Wait a bit for Ascilab C8T towers and a bit longer for upcoming 3-way center speaker? That would be my bet as I'm planning to replace my aging base layer as well.

Does 7k get you Ascilab C8C and 3 way center?
2 less amp channels required as well.
Ideally get 3 C8C for front stage!

Obviously the speakers need to be identical. Given an apparent unwillingness to move the TV up enough to fit towers, three of the bigger KEF R-series meta “centers” across the front makes a lot of sense IMO. Or if you luck into a warehouse full of the double-8 Revel Performa3 “center.” If you want wider, given the small size of the room, 3x Revel M126Be may work very well and be well under budget. Actually that’s what I’d do — modernize the AVR to something with ART and use 3x M126Be. That would be better than throttling the system with Audyssey.
My system is not held back by Audyssey and I have measurements to prove it.

These have my attention

Though with the C8C I want to see measurements without the bass module.

And ideally one can get 3.

These are probably great, but if the Ascend Sierra ELX and Philharmonic HT Tower compare well against something like the KEF Blade, is this a fair fight?
If you wanted just a pair of mains for stereo and had a wider room I would agree completely.
The Ascends will also exceed your spending limit after taxes when you include the center.
But since you wanted a multichannel system in a limited space, I think the KEFs would suit your purpose better, especially when you consider how good the R6 meta center is.

I think the better perspective is to consider that the R series competes with the blades with the same weight as the ELX.

Speaking as someone who operates in a rather deep-seated, seemingly continual state of upgraditis, about the best compliment I can give to the Ascend ELXs (I have the ribbon towers and Horizon) is that they are the first speakers I've tried that have kept my condition completely at bay. I'm coming up on four years with them and I've never for a second pined for anything else, either for music or movies.

The C8C looks seriously impressive, though. But since I don't currently have another room in need of speakers (and I prefer to maintain my marriage), they will remain a curiosity. If I were starting from scratch they'd be a top contender. You already have competent subs, so you could likely get away without the extra expense of the bass modules.

The C8C has the most appeal right now due to design, measurements, and not needing an amplifier.

But I'm not in love with the looks. We'll see what the future holds.

Also, I'd like to know the dimensions.

It's right at the top of the post you were linked to.

This sounds like I'd be a good candidate for KEF-- but I really don't know.
That sounds right. I do most of my listening on medium/narrow Genelec's, not unlike KEFs, in my office. But if you get a chance to try something wide, it is really enjoyable. I use wide Philharmonic's in my HT and love them. My spouse consistently preferred them over the Genelec's in A/B blind tests. Big soundstage and lots of reverberance.
I would take the Titan dome tweeter,
I would pick the ribbon for the wider directivity. But I think you will enjoy a coaxial KEF more anyway. Or 3x used Genelec 8341a.

I prefer the measurements of the dome—they look better to me.

But also I'm not sure that I need something that wide in a small room?

I don't love the vertical narrowing that happens with the C8C compared to the C6B.

They are similar in character, but you see just a bit more narrowing on the C8C.

Ascilab say it's due to the increased baffle width to fit the side bass drivers.
