Or a Stargate II for system independent EQ.

Or a Stargate II for system independent EQ.

Are you certain that the Tanchjim iOS App supports configuring dongle DACs like the Stargate II?

I remember reading that on iOS, only their TWS earbuds could be configured via the App.
Screenshots in the App store only show earbuds as well.

True, I am not sure about iOS, never tested it.

You can turn PEQ presets into Wavelet presets using squig.link and autoeq.app.

Just be aware of Wavelet's suboptimal response accuracy: https://www.reddit.com/r/oratory1990/s/ibgORclPsD

Neutron Player supports PEQ natively, so no need to convert anything.
Amir's, Maiky's, mine, and any other PEQ preset can be applied directly there.
Where are these peq presets ?
Am I correct that Neutron player isn’t for playing Spotify ?

Could VLC player be tuned with presets ?

Here are two presets for the Zero:2

You can find many more all over the web.

Yes.

On iOS, only using Hardware EQ solutions like the Qudelix 5k, Neutron DAC V1, miniDSP IL-DSP, PowerDAC V2.1, Stargate II etc.

Afaik, the only hardware eq products that can be configured directly in iOS are the Qudelix 5K and PowerDAC.

The latter has a high noise floor, making it poorly suited to driving IEMs.

Just bought a moondrop dawn pro.

Is there a workaround ?
The Moondrop Dawn Pro cannot be used to apply systemwide EQ on iOS.

Thank you for answering all my questions (as you did before), very helpfull.

There are a few more like (most of) the FiiO BTR’s, and some HiBy products. The common denominator is Bluetooth support in addition to USB: this allows an iOS app to set up the PEQ via BT, while playing via USB (or BT…). It is a workaround to Apple restrictions on USB access from an iOS app.

Not portable, but interesting, RME iOS (iPad) app also supports hardware-based PEQ setting via USB, but they’ve done that through their MIDI implementation: unlike serial or HID USB communications, MIDI interfaces are not restricted by Apple.

Thanks..

Which one you mean?

RME is also short for Russian made easy

Finally, I bought this IEM just out of curiosity and because some guys told me I don't know distortion-free bass on my Beyerdynamic D880 Pro.
Honestly, the bass these IEMs can deliver is impressive as is overall sound quality (especially for price).

Nevertheless, I still think my Beyerdynamics are quite good and I can't hear any distortion in the bass on them. I guess I just don't listen loud enough.
Since I'm used to over ears and the AirPods Pro 2 (with EQ) and their comfort (no occlusion feeling) I doubt that the Zero2 will jump in regularly.

Heh, I decided to give these a spin after a long break. Mainly because the horrible Juzear Clear came with a nice looking cable and I wanted to use it.

With some EQ (Wavelet autoEQ preset from the search function) it did make me wonder.. why do we buy anything else? I cannot find a fault in the sound and I am really trying, but fallback to enjoyment. I am no stranger to professional control rooms and while it's nice to feel the bass in your chest, it really does not sound any better than this. This is Starbucks money!

As posted in another thread, just received mine and after a couple of days of testing, I voted Great. These rock, even more so for the price.

Does anyone know the maximum mW's of power these IEM's can take? I accidentally ran them at 100% volume for a few seconds from a KA15 in Desktop (high gain) mode, which can output up to a claimed 290mw at 16ohm and 180mw at 32ohm, and I'm concerned wether or not that could (have) damage(ed) them.

As far as I can tell, the Zero:2 has not been tested for power handling. It is unknown.

Thanks for the quick reply. Hopefully whatever I did is tolerable by them. I also can't find this info on the product specs or manual.
Here's a confidence booster that the Zero:2's driver can take a solid beating:
As a bass head I was astonished that the original Zero 2 can playback 20 Hz at much higher volume (ear deafening) than the Zero:BLUE2, which starts to audibly distort much earlier. And I never hear bass modulation with the Zero 2

I had them running on the ADI-2/4 TRS output in High Power mode (my ear drums still flittering) with around 400 mW. Do not try that...

Note taken - even more so if just the brief second I had them on at full volume at lower power were that much of a shock.
