Maybe QA is one of the things you don't bother with on really cheap kit. Perhaps there's someone here who can test "no bass" iems?
I didn’t like the Truthear Zero Blue when I first tried them. I changed to the “tested with” tips and they were good.
I bought these (actually gifted from my wish list) thinking they’d be just right but only the silver were available right away before Christmas.

I even tried them with the Truthear Blue tips that worked for them and still seemed subpar.

Maybe I’ll return for the orange and see if there’s a difference.

Am I going daft or is there some reason people think the orange is better? Apologies if this was sarcasm.
Probably just trying to figure out a reason. Everyone’s anatomy is different. I pushed these in and held them in tighter and seems better. Probably just a different fit for me.

Silver wasn't available next day when I ordered. The blueish ones look bad. Orange aren't so bad and the thing about ugly headphones is they remind me of that guy who hated the Eiffel tower so much he always hung out in its cafe so he didn't have to look at it!

I you haven't already you might try the Sennheiser IE Pro-M eartips. Although they are ment for the Sennheiser IE 40/100/400/500 Pro they fit my IE 600 and several other IEMs (including the 7Hz Zero:2) just fine. They are available as silicone as well as memory foam tips. What I expecially like is that they come with an earswax protection. And for 17 EUR (price in Germany) you get 5 pairs so that the price per pair is more attractive compared to many other branded tips.
Just might give it a try. Are those tips stiffer then IE 600 original tips? Guess I'll try M silicone and M foam. Thanks for the info.

When rolling them between the fingers I cannot sense a clear difference although from visual inspection it seems that silicon on the IE Pro tips is thicker. I never had the IE 600 stock tips in my ears because when I got the IE 600 I was already familiar with the IE Pro tips and used them exclusively right from the start. Good luck if you want to give them a try!

Could anyone confirm the quality control check of these? Maybe do a THD measurement of the first batches and the currently selling batches. I'm not expecting something super good for $24 but would like to see.

Do you have Amazon in your country? They offer free returns.

I do, but I feel like its not really exceptionally badly tuned, just way less airy.

That's awesome, thank you!
I'd have been all over this if it could do LDAC. My comparisons between LDAC and other codecs show that LDAC is far better when applying EQ with noticeably less audible distortion with EQ applied.

Is there a reason why the nozzles are so gargantuan on these Harman IEMs? Is it a matter of keeping costs down, does it make it easier in some way for the tuning? I'm no engineer but it's a shame for me anyway. I can't even wear these without tips. I'd love to find the right pair for casual listening, chilling out at the office, travel.

The 7hz zero 2 has standard sized nozzles, the Truthear zero has a larger nozzle.

I sold my Truthear Zero as it was uncomfortable due to the nozzle but i can wear the 7hz Zero 2 for hours with no issues

Must be why the Truthear seem to work better for me, I can push these in more and hold and get better sound.

IMHO hires is overrated. For my ears at least.

Exactly, for your ears. I did say it was for those who have hi-res subscription, using the Apple dongle will be a waste of money for them.

Some people says 128 kbps MP3 sounds excellent, some thought CD quality is good enough, but if that’s their standard I don’t expect them to be here. I just thought most of the members here would want something more.

Again, my comment was for hires subscribers who I thought would be the majority here, I was wrong.

I’m with you, I pay for it so definitely want the capability no matter what anyone says.

I have hi res subscription and bunch of dacs capable of chewing any format you can imagine.

Couple focal headphones and DCA headphones, amps, dacs etc

I had plenty session and time spent to compare 44.1/16 bit to any flavor of hires

My conclusion with all combinations of devices and headphones that I have: I don’t hear anything, it’s basically the same for regular CD quality and hires stuff.
