I have a better understanding what is audible with other measurements. I have an ether cx on the way and i know my hpa4 isnr the best in the 50mv snr measurement but i see it is no slouch.

How do you determine when 50mv snr will affect sound quality?

IEM sensitivity could be 135 dB at 1 V, and 50 mV is -26 dB. In this case, the noise level with 90 dB SNR is 19 dB SPL.

It won't effect the Ether CX.

Like @Atanasi said it's an issue for for super sensitive IEMs where you might hear background hiss.
