I have quite a few Beyer Phones but have settled on the 880 PRO 250 ohm, as best of my bunch.
It needs either a bit of eq, or Solderdudes well documented mod at his website to knock down a few db's in the treble peak.

I own the Topping L30 DAC but after months of listening prefer the Schkitt Modi 3 DAC for music listening.

Schkitt Magni HA , it works well although I don't care for the potentiometer or knob very much.

All in your budget

Update: Love the hd560s. Very comfy after 2 days (first two days was very tight on the head). Not enough bass for my taste but its okay for my first hp's.
Have you tried to equalise your 560S? They respond well to Oratory 1990's settings.

yes but i dont hear a difference besides the fact its quiter because of the pre amp settings. But i hear no difference in bass, mids or highs between his settings and HP default. Maybem my ears suck and i just cant hear little differences xD

You'll need to increase the volume to compensate for the pre-amp reduction.

I'd be surprised if you can't hear an increase in bass with Oratory's settings. Obviously it would need to be music with something to boost at the lower frequencies. An increase of over 5 dB should be detectable. You could always increase the Band 2 gain if you want even more bass, but don't forget to alter the pre amp accordingly.

Stuff from Topping is probably easier to pick up in Europe. A Topping DX3 + Sennheiser HD650 should be easy to find and would perform solidly.

Maybe the new Beyerdynamic DT700 Pro X is a good alternative headphone. The frequency response looks solid, but I haven't seen distortion measurements. The sub-bass could be better on this one since the HD650 drops off pretty sharply in that region.
This. I would say alternative is Sundara, but I much prefer the 650 for everyday/allround listening

I'm a bit late to the show, but the DT 700 Pro X is indeed the one you need. Sounds nice even without eq, and much lower impedance and higher sensitivity than the Sennheiser's (especially the HD6xx's) so very easy to drive. A specialised amp is not a requirement.
