I have the opportunity to get this 5.1 surround system for free from someone who had tons of 2000s tech:

Is this thing any good? Apparently, it was high end back in 2006, but that was 20 years ago now.

If I use it, it would replace my parents' living room setup with 2x Kali LP-6v2 and 1x WS6.2.

"Home Decor" being the biggest typeface on the box kinda tells you what the emphasis is...
The "Magnetically shielded" satellites are a tip off to the era. In other words way back when TV's had picture tubes that could be fucked up by speaker magnets, were a foot and a half deep and 32" was considered a big screen.
If it's free you've got nothing to loose but a less cluttered life. Hook it up in the garage?

OMG. I just noticed the clock sitting on the box matches the picture...! Close reading of the, obsolete, product description reveals numerous such disguises could be purchased to hide the satellites.
Genius!
