4x4x2.7m room (~1500 cuft) : would a sb 2000 pro be enough for 2.1 music setup ?

I don't think so. Different concepts.

The Micro 3000 is much lighter and a bit smaller, but has a much bigger power rated amp. And is only a 100 € more here. As I understand it that's also a much newer model. And has XLR in, which is very nice.

Looks like the overall better package. But personally I have issues with the micro enclosure size vs. power. Can it really deliver? OK, some people say the same about the SB series. They are also pretty small for their substantial power. And I know they are very good.

Both are limited in their own ways. Comparing amp is meaningless without more information about the sensitivity of the system. If small is needed, these subs are worth considering. Maybe even the KEF dual opposed?

Is this enough, not enough, overkill? It is possible to solve this equation , even approximately, for the bedroom. This may help you find a solution for bedroom. For your conditions and requirements.
I would think less about claimed electrical amplifier power and more about the actually available\required SPL. Taking into account the frequency.

Hey!

Considering the young kids, i've decided to skip the 2.1 / 2.2 setup. I will go with headphones : he1000 stealth and maybe take a dnc e3 if it pleases me.

i'm kinda sad abt it but I think it's the most viable option right now. And the day they stay with friends or w/e i'll just launch the 7.2.4 setup ^^ I don't mind using stereo multichanel with hitek / psycore / chillgressive, I even find it better. Or can always 2.2 so yea no loss there.

But I don't lose hope about doing a proper 2.1 / 2.2 setup one day in a separate room. If it happens and the choice are still roughly the same i'll go with 2x 3000R.

Well, when and if this happens - it will be possible to think about more proper solutions than a couple of ordinary mass-market subs.
