I got a 3E Audio / Soyyin A5se recently and noticed the control knobs has a fair bit of free-play in it. Is this common on these units or did I get one with a wonky knob?

Secondly, when I connect:
A5se > Audio Interface > Laptop
The track pad becomes glitchy!
This is cured if I connect the laptop PSU which is capacitivly coupled to mains earth.
It also doesn't do it I'd I use a different PSU for the A5se. I wonder if others have had issues?
Are these GAN PSUs poor for EMI noise? The GAN adaptor is only a 2 pin mains connection so not even capacitive earth there - nowhere for common mode currents to sink.
