3e Audio / Alsozone Multi-Channel Amp - Owner's Thread

I felt like getting the top of the enclosure off was a giant pain in the ass... there's at least a dozen screws to do it. (The other reason to have them is so you can see what channels are on if you use auto mode.)

I think I'm going to get a PAM258 next month... I'm satisfied enough with the one I've got that I think I'd like to quit using the AVR's amp entirely. That'll put me in a good position to upgrade to a dedicated pre-pro next year.
If you can swing it this month, alsozone.com is offering 10% off with the Founder10 code until the end of the month.

I assume people here use some type of av processing gadget before the amp. What do you use?

Don't assume.

Doing active crossovers alone can generate a lot of channels just with stereo.

And then multiple subs...

I use upmixing to get 5.1 surround, but mostly music, even for films stereo sources only.

So your question really deserves its own thread, in the title and OP specify what functionalities you're after.

AVRs which include amps are often much cheaper than AVPs which only output line level.

Denon X3800H.

Interesting side note: the X3800H-driven speakers sound much louder than the PAM25X speakers at the same db offset[1], which winds up with the room EQ software setting the PAM25X-driven channels to some crazy db offset (like +12db) to compensate, which really drives the noise up. I decided to suck it up and order the PAM258 so I could drive everything on the external amps, which would nominally fix this issue. The other thing I could try is switching the gain to high on the PAM25X and seeing if that works better... but we have company over this week, so it doesn't seem like a good time to experiment.

[1] I am sure ASR could define this phenomenon better than I can, but I'm still new to the separates game.

I ordered directly from Alsozone, the 258. Took about 2 weeks to receive shipped from china directly. Just got it today.

Still need to recalibrate but so far no issues that I can find. All 8 channels are working well

It shipped via Yun Express and Gofo. This was my experience with them and other than some poor communication it went off without too much issue. The tracking just isn’t as detailed as Amazon.
Any update on tarriffs? Thanks.

I ordered a PAM258 from them, so I'll let you know.

I will say they direct-shipped me a replacement amp module and I still have not seen any tariff comebacks. This makes me think they more-or-less know what they're doing.
