Yes, I am driving two DIY subs with two A7 Mono units
Both subs are DOS, 2x15" and 4x8" respectively

You can only drive a passive sub (= a subwoofer with no amplifier) with the A7
Your active sub already has an amplifier so you won't be able to connect the A7 to it

Your subwoofer doesn't have a high-level input, and your amplifier doesn't have a low-level output, so connecting the subwoofer to the amplifier won't work. You need a low-level output from the source.

You need to split the line level signal before the A7. Best way would be pre/dac with sub out or mini dsp options etc.

You will need something along those lines TBH, as you need to (i) drive the low frequencies to the sub whilst (ii) not sending the low frequencies to your speakers.

I came here to ask this! I have wondered if using just running one mono and two 4ohm subs in parallel. The tests show the amp is stable with2 ohm loads but I am not sure in the real world how it would do. I could also just get a stereo amp run one sub on each channel. Thoughts?

How can you use a pair of monoblocks with one subwoofer? Dual voice coils going to discrete binding posts?

My sub (q accoustics b12) has a built in amp (something like 300W - 500W) & takes a low level input - so the sub out & frequency management is done by my WiiM Ultra.

The pair of a7 monos drive the primary stereo speakers above 80Hz.

If you are looking to drive a sub that has no built in amp (rare - but I understand they exist) I cannot help you.

A7 is just a power amp.

You need to feed your already-powered sub from the same pre-amp signal device feeding your A7.

What do you use to switch sources?

Some subs have a high level / full range input so you connect the subs to the power out. Only works if you have 2 sets of speaker terminals on your amp, which the A7 doesn't. Your only option is to add a preamp to your system that has a low pass sub out or replace the A7 with an integrated that has that feature.

You can connect a high-to-low level converter at the output of the amp, parallel to the speakers. The converter has such a high impedance that it does not stress the amp.
