Hi

I am interested in the a7 . I have a 2.1 setup. Is it possible to connect a subwoofer to the amplifier?

Best Regards Johannes

Your subwoofer doesn't have a high-level input, and your amplifier doesn't have a low-level output, so connecting the subwoofer to the amplifier won't work. You need a low-level output from the source.
Sorry for my poor English.

You need to split the line level signal before the A7. Best way would be pre/dac with sub out or mini dsp options etc.

I'm using a pair of a7 monos with a sub - but handle the frequency cutoff & sub connection via my WiiM ultra.

You will need something along those lines TBH, as you need to (i) drive the low frequencies to the sub whilst (ii) not sending the low frequencies to your speakers.

So yes - you can run a sub, but you need something to look after it in addition to the amp.

I came here to ask this! I have wondered if using just running one mono and two 4ohm subs in parallel. The tests show the amp is stable with2 ohm loads but I am not sure in the real world how it would do. I could also just get a stereo amp run one sub on each channel. Thoughts?
