If so, then there really isn't much point in buying a 10A power supply for the A7 mono.

But the price difference really was negligible.

I bought a set of two A7 mono units, without power supplies. And two 10A power supplies separately.

It cost almost the same as if I'd bought two sets of A7 units with 5A power supplies.

The point is, if you listen to rock music at loud enough level, the 5 A. version might not last too long, and performance may suffer. The cited 1.75 factor is for short term so is applicable for many Jaz and Classical music, but not loud rock/heavy metal music.

In my case, the impedance is 6 ohms. Sometimes, it drops to almost 4 ohms.

P.S. Sorry, I must have accidentally sent the translation text above, not the actual message text in English.

No problem, you will be happy with the monoblock amps, they are really transparent, and runs cool.

Hi guys,

I have this amp and I'm hearing hissing and popping sounds with no output.

With RCA inputs there is a slight hiss from the left speaker tweeter and slight poping noise from the left speaker woofer regardless of volume bypass on/off. This isnt too audible without putting my ear close to the tweeter and woofer. Also, this noise always stays on the left speaker, ive swapped the speakers at it stays on the left.

With XLR inputs there is a hiss all the time on both speakers when volume bypass is on. When i turn the bypass off, the noise returns when the amp is at 0% (fully counter clockwise) and > ~60%, with the hiss getting louder as i turn it up. Its loud enough to hear it without putting my ear to the tweeter.

Setups tried
Wiim Ultra -> Amazon basics RCA -> A7 -> Sierra LX bookshelves
Fosi S3 streamer -> Amazon basics RCA -> A7 -> Sierra LX bookshelves
Fosi S3 streamer -> Amazon basics XLR -> A7 -> Sierra LX bookshelves.

What's confusing me is that I exchanged the amp on amazon and I'm still seeing the exact same issue with the new one. Speakers are brand new. I've tried different RCA and XLR cables(Cable Matters).

I'm fairly new to this so please let me know if I'm missing something.

Try connecting nothing, only amp in bypass + speakers. You should hear nothing, if not the amp is bust.

did you try Wiim Ultra -> Amazon basics RCA -> A7 -> Sierra LX bookshelves

my mistake, Amazon basics RCA is a cable......

maybe you can try them not power by the same AC outlet?

Dead silent. So the streamers/Dacs are causing it?
had similar issue with Ultra connected to A5 using RCA , once I connected a sub to the Ultra. my workaround solution was to use a DAC (cheap but great SMSL SU1) over the Ultra's optical output to the A5

if existing in RCA mode probably due to a common mode noise between each other when they connected.
but then in @kojo_mike case also happen in XLR mode, this is something we are not sure what happen.
will try to test it with S3 if we can get a sample in China.

Sometime this weekend, I will try going from my friends Topping E70V -> A7 via XLR and RCA to see what happens.

The speakers aren't the problem, and it's also unlikely to be the A7 amplifier.
Other users in the forum have had similar issues, but in those cases, it turned out to be a serious grounding problem with a PC and USB connection.

I suspect that this interference is being introduced before the amplifier and is present in the transmitted audio signal.

You mentioned that the amplifier is completely silent when nothing is connected.

Then please try the following:
Connect RCA and XLR cables alternately to the A7, leaving the other end open.
Are there any noises?

Now connect the S3 to the A7 alternately using RCA and XLR cables, but don't connect any other cables to the S3 except for the power supply.
Are there any noises now?

What else do you normally have connected to the S3?

With XLR or RCA connected to the amp and nothing else on the other end - silent

With either RCA/XLR connected, the behavior is unchanged from my earlier post.

The only other cable connected to the S3 and Wiim ultra in all my prior test was an ethernet cable. I removed it for this and nothing changed.

I attached some pictures of the setup. Maybe i’m doing something wrong.

That's strange, but I'd suspect a grounding issue first.
I also see absolutely nothing you could have done wrong.

Could you test the S3 with the A7 at your friend's apartment, where he also has the Topping E70V? Just to test a different socket/grounding setup?
And of course, test the Topping E70V with the A7 at his place as well.

Is there a residual current device (RCD) installed in your fuse box?
Do you have a basic multimeter?
Do you have any DIY skills?
