With the a7 the signal goes first into a steel tab, then it goes to a steel ring, then to a steel nut and then to the post.

That is, of course, assuming that the tabs/washers/nuts are steel.

Thank you for that -- I did find the OG review as well to compare. Strange that the binding posts would have had that much of an impact, considering that just about everything (speakers, amps, avrs, etc...) uses similar parts. The silver lining with the A7 is if those posts happen to wreck the performance, it's simply a matter of undoing a few nuts, pulling away the tabs, removing the posts, and replacing them with better ones (the user-serviceability is why -- IMO -- it's "better" than being soldered to a PCB riser).
My point was NOT about A7 but a general one (I have no idea what it uses) :
That we know nothing until we measure it.

ANY change must be measured if we want to know. Audible? Most probably not.
But we are far from audibility any way, at a lot of threads.

Could be nickel plated brass, or copper.
Nickel plated brass, or copper would be fine. But it isn't, thin layer of nickel would make it very lightly magnetic. I took a very long and thin screw driver and attached a magnet near the handle. The screwdriver now becomes magnetic, you can easily reach the the tab and nut through the slits in casing. It really sticks to mentioned parts, this "probe" would be too weak to notice a thin nickel layer.

I was contemplating buying one of these but I think I’ll hold back for the moment. There’s much to consider like like buying this against a more established name with warranty and backup in my own country.

This parts, whatever Material they are, should Not be magnetic at all...
I checked mine with a long magnetic screw driver and didn't detect anything. I haven't opened up the case though, there is warranty sticker on middle screw on the bottom and don't want to void it.

Pretty sad, that the actual model is so much different to the review Sample.
I think you are talking about these changes, if yes then these aren't changing anything really.
4 capacitors being used of different established brand?
Copper wire between speaker binding post and amplifier board than raiser pcb?

New PCB overview :) Not ELNA (new Ruby) caps near OPA. It would be very interesting to know the capacitance and voltage of the previous ELNA silmic capacitors.

I have even worse news for you.
Over 99.9% of all connectors in the HiFi and audio sector are magnetic, whether banana plugs, RCA, XLR, USB, etc., including those in your setup.
You just need a strong neodymium pot magnet to test this yourself.
Even the manufacturers who claim their connectors are non-magnetic failed our tests.
The only exception so far are very expensive WBT connectors, which are completely nickel-free.

Thank you. Since the V3 Mono is currently half that, I'll need to re-trace my research to convince myself.

I won't have the funds until next month anyway

I do like to eliminate tariffs uncertainty...

Trying to get max clean/safe SPL from OG LS50, if anyone can remind me - @harkpabst ?

now im not sure if i should keep my a7 as a used very good condition bel. canto S300 came up for sales.

And that's because of this review?

I wonder how many different versions of the S300 have been sold over the years.
