But CDs? I find it hard to believe people buy those without listening to them. They don't exactly signal status, cultural sophistication, artistry, or provides opportunities for decoration(with CDs? Hardly) or whatever it is that drives people to buy vinyl without actually playing the records.
I think the manufacturing of new CD players could meet a growing demand—even though streaming is, of course, the dominant format.
