Oh crap! I met Doug, a coworker and friend who I talked into moving from Chicago to L.A. to work for JBL introduced us. He is SUPER smart, smart enough to save and invest and he retired like by 40 I think it was.

2024 Bose 901 Series 7???

It doesn't much matter if it exists or not. And we all know about skin-deep beauty.
Flashbacks to 1970s and at my every encounter; Bose901s sounded 'cringe-worthy'.
It got to a point, where I couldn't stand to even look at them.
But you had to bite your tongue and try to say nice things to their owners.
Who knows? I hope that Bose has given-up on their previous labyrinth-internal design.
I searched for construction and driver-complement of the SeriesVI/VII, but they must be secrets.

So let me get this straight . . . Bose produced a total of 12 pairs of the 901 60th Anniversary speakers for this collab and didn’t actually offer them for sale? Instead, they were made as gifts for the friends and family of the guy who owns the company who collabed with Bose?

I think it’s pure marketing only.
I think wireless Bose 901’s as an alternative to a soundbar would sell really well. Small box with HDMI eARC. Self contained 901 with AC power and wireless connection. Lots of bass and smartphone to do rudimentary room correction for the bass response at the MLP.
Since they didn’t do that, I don’t think it was more than a marketing stunt.
