Hi everyone, this is my first venture into DIY so please excuse me is this is a stupid question.

I’ve got a pair of amps which I inherited and have been enjoying for some time but they are now about 20 years old.

They use the ICEpower 1000ASP amplifier modules and rather than try and sell them on I’m wondering if they could benefit from having the modules swapped out for a brand new pair. This would be very easy and relatively cost effective, especially if my 20 year old examples may be past their best.

Your thoughts and experience would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT

Another option (though less straightforward and higher cost) would be to replace the old ICEpower module with a new Hypex Nilai500DIY module and power supply and repurpose the existing input and power cabling.

They are being used in a two channel hifi setup between a NAD C 658 as a digital source and preamplifier, and a pair of Wilson Benesch speakers.

20 years is a long time but 1000ASP was supposed to be the workhorse who just delivers.

I suppose you don't need all this power by considering Nilai, etc
If I was you and only need couple of channels I would go for a Purifi made one right now, they seem to be the sweet spot between quality and performance (both top) and at reasonable prices.
