Hi gang,
I currently have two Focal 1038 BE towers and the CC1008 BE center channel along with a pair of subs. My main use is watching YouTube and movies.
The CC1008BE is a 3-way WTMW horizontal center speaker (two 6-1/2" woofers, 3" mid-range, 1-1/4" tweeter):
I was curious about how a single 2-way 1008BE (6-1/2" mid-bass, 1-1/4" tweeter) would perform vs the CC1008BE as a dedicated center channel? I assume timbre should be the same but output, dynamism, and dispersion decreased with the bookshelf (please correct if theoretically wrong). Any drawbacks or gains, please discuss and thank you!
Frequency response (+/-3dB) 46Hz - 40kHz
Low frequency point (-6dB) 41Hz
Sensitivity (2.83V/1m) 89dB
Nominal impedance 8Ω
Minimum impedance 3.9Ω
Crossover frequency 2,200Hz
Recommended amplifier power 25 - 150W
