2.1 system with miniDSP 2/4HD

Is the miniDSP master volume logarithmic or linear?
The volume control uses dB, which is a logarithmic unit (every 10dB reduction halves the perceived loudness).

-0dB = 100% loudness
-10dB = 50% loudness
-20dB = 25% loudness
-30dB = 12.5% loudness
etc

I can always leave the Denon volume knob at 2 o'clock without moving it even when I turn it on and off. Without any worries?

Yes.

If you're worried, set up the 2x4 HD and Denon so that you have to be close to max volume on the 2x4HD to achieve satisfying loudness.

Now that I can shape the sound with the miniDSP, I can go from 50w rms 2-way Klipsch speakers to 100w rms 3-way speakers.
The DENON HAS 50 W RMS per channel and the active sub has 200 w RMS. Would I see improvements?

Is it good to always have high input and output levels on the miniDSP
Even when I listen at very low volumes?
