A sound bar solution (3.0) that includes a proper mono center channel will provide far better intelligibility than you'll get from 2.0.
How so?
I think a soundbar will be worse in every way compared to a decent 2.0 setup.

WiiM is currently beta testing support for the Dolby Digital 5.1 codec for use on the WiiM Ultra and WiiM Amp Pro. Perhaps this feature has something to do with the fact that neither device now supports Airplay.

The beta supports wireless rear speakers and a phantom center channel. WiiM says they are working on supporting a discrete center channel. BTW, as I understand it, some WiiM users connect a WiiM Mini to their Ultra or Amp Pro as a (kludgy) way to restore support for Airplay 2.

I have demonstrated this over and over to people with my home system which is 3.2. Stereo dialog is much harder to understand than mono because of two things: (1) delay between L/R channels causing destructive interference at the seating position (comb filtering) and (2) Because the (properly decoded) center channel contains mostly dialog, you can boost the dialog when it is too deep in the mix (which is all too common these days).

Er, I don't think this is correct. While the center channel does contain nearly all the dialogue in most mixes, it also contains a lot of other content to my understanding. So boosting the center channel will not lift only the dialogue.

Note that I'm not one of those who professes the superiority of a phantom center; I run a 5.1 system. However, for the OP's setup I don't think they are trying to cover a large seating area and probably don't want to stick a speaker in front of the TV. Even most soundbars would be in the way unless they raise the TV. And while soundbars are a fine compromise for many people, I would never say it's better or equivalent to a proper 2.0 setup.

Which part of Behringer interface doesn't work?

XLR inputs or XLR outputs?

It works. I never said it didn't work. I even said you will curse when you obtain good results. Some people disagree, but I find it tedious to use. That is a kind description of the experience using it. For a simple setup as I would think the OP is looking for I would not suggest the Ultradrive at all.
