1More Sonoflow NC Headphone Review

1more is not answering my email. Why am I not seeing LDAC support on three different devices?

1More responded. LDAC has to be enabled with the 1More app, then it works on devices without the app support, or not being installed.

OMG! People! What's wrong with you all??? Based upon all positive reviews here and there I bought both versions of SonoFlow (Old and new "PRO") and both are absolute garbage. Worst sound ever! Period. Mushy, bassy, boomy, resonant shit without detail, definition, highs,... Horrible. No EQ is able to fix the sound.
I thought that this was a serious website. I'll give them to the first homeless person to keep his ears warm in winter.

What's your sound source? Garbage MP3s? I use the Sonoflow Pro and the Sony 1000XM6. Both with Tidal FLAC streaming. The Sonoflows sound significantly better than the Sonys. However, the Sonys are completely superior in terms of ANC. I'm curious to hear your opinion on the sound of the Sonys, as you're a sound expert.

First of all, the Sonoflow are NOT speakers! Secondly I'm not an sound expert. I just like to listen to music for decades and I want to enjoy it and not to go vomit. I did not listen the Sony 1000XM6, but I have small TW Sony WF1000XM3 and they sound fantastic. I had or have also few AKG and Sennheiser headphones. They are OK, but not terrible. I just wanted to have big wireless headphones. I stream Tidal Max too. May be that you all have great cheap chinese plastic product with great sound, but I bought 2 pieces of 1More Sonoflow and 1More Sonoflow PRO and both are garbage. Most horrible sound ever! Pure garbage. And I can compare it to many of my speakers. I had or have few high end Dynaudio Confidence speakers as well as Wharfedale, Tannoy, Technics, B&W, SHAN and others. And I also had or have some Dynaudio and Focal Professional active monitors. Today I'm listening new TRIO 6 ST6 for 7000 USD pair (strong, too strong, but not the best for smaller rooms) with my RME ADI-2-DACfs - best PRE/DAC ever. And I heard many other very expensive setups on HiFi shows or studios or friends or demo rooms. So I think, that I can recognize good sound. And I am sure, that graphs are not only one 100% safe argument for great sound.

Troll? I'm an ex-recording engineer/mixer/tour sound engineer/muso and I find them excellent, good enough for occasional balancing work (after applying the recommended EQ of course). So I'm uninclined to give your opinion any weight without a LOT of actual evidence -- sorry.

Question: Why did you buy both, the Sonoflow and the Sonoflow Pro, according to your own statement? Both together? Or one after the other? Why did you buy a second Sonoflow if you already considered the first one garbage? Your entire argument just shows that you're talking nonsense and are (I'm guessing) a Sony fanboy who can't stand the fact that $70 headphones sound better than a $400 Sony WH 1000XM6.

Folks, update: The build quality of my exchanged SonoFlow Pro is still great after some months of use. So I guess 1more has improved the processing quality in the manufacturing process. Sound is still great and so much better than the crappy sound of the Sony 1000XM6.

So I've grown to love these using Amirs EQ. Been using them at work and actually like the sound way more than on my much more expensive Technics EAH-A800 I use at home. I was actually thinking about buying another pair to use at home instead of the Technics. But I see the regular version is hard to find now since the Pro version was released. Anyone knows if Amirs EQ is compatible with the new one?

I bought some Sonoflows on the basis of Amirs review (think they were £59), never had noise cancelling or blue tooth headphone before, do have some HD 650 and Beyers etc.

I also bought Cambridge Melomania P100s (£200) and Sennheiser Momentum 4's (£169) about a year later. I feel the Sonoflow while aren't quite as good on music as either of the above headphones, the Sonoflows are more than good enough and enjoyable to listen too, there great for film as with the set to flat they have a bit more perceived brightness up top and the noise canceling is better than the Momentum 4.

The two Cambridge P100's i've had have both have broken, they have faults in there design unfortunately, I didn't want a third pair (replaced under warranty) so got refunded from Amazon, it's a shame as the noise cancelling and the sound for music is exceptional.

The Sonoflows have been absolutely hammered, great design and super strong, i'm on my third set of ear cups, the headband is getting a bit iffy but they still work as new, i've never run out of battery power on them, i'd happily have them them as my only headphone, a great buy.

Have you tried the pro version? Trying to find out if Amirs EQ will work for that one to. At least in Sweden the first gen seems to be discontinued.

No mine are just the normal version, so not sure if you can apply EQ to them in the same way.

I traced the response graph by Tech Gear Lab using usyless.uk/trace, plobbed them on squig.link and make 2 parametric EQ profiles: one to their own in-house target (also traced from the same source, hoping for a "two wrongs make one right" case), and another one to that squigg site's DF target with a -0.5dB tilt.

Some notes:

• I most likely don't know what I'm doing.
• Tech Gear Lab seems to be measuring on a B&K 5128-B according to this, the specific squigg site (earphonesarchive.squig.link/headphones) also uses a B&K 5128, but idk how transferable the measurements are.
• I could not (edit: I forgot the NOT) find out what mode (wired/ANC/transparency/normal) the headphones were in when they measured it.
• Yes, I listened to music with the EQs for an hour or so on AUX mode. No, my ears weren't bleeding by the end of it, which tends to be a good sign...

I attached the measurements too.

It feels like there's a gate on the signal in or something? I haven't touched the companion app yet, but I sure hope there's a way to either disable or lower the threshold of this.

This is a bit over my level of understanding I'm afraid. But do you have EQ values for the app that you could recommend for the pro? Did you use them in ANC mode? Read a lot of comments about the Pro version sounding worse in ANC mode while the first Gen actually sounded worse with ANC off.

I don't know anything about things sounding good or not, but ANC does seems to bring more bass/sub-bass compared to the other modes, and I have the cans in ANC mode the whole time, since it mirrors what I planned to use my sonoflow pro in public. I still haven't download the companion app, or test the EQ on bluetooth.

The 2 .txt files are just parametric equalizer presets. I kinda blanked on the actual terms and fell back on using pretentious, big-sounding words, sorry. Any ol' PEQ program should play nice with it; or, failing that, be easy to dial in the settings manually.

If you don't already have an exiting equalizer program, I'd recommend going to any squig.link instance, importing the EQ .txt files, playing the sound demos there and see if you like the EQ or not before going though the effort of installing one.

It's a really nice and accessable resource and service for those who wanna dabble in messing around with sound.
