The XT1464 horn which 18Sound designed to work with this driver has a rather narrow horizontal dispersion according to Noah https://www.avsforum.com/threads/18...pro-lth142-can-only-pick-one.3255319/#replies And its distortion may also be an issue.

Suggestions for a 1.4" throat horn for a two way system atop my midwoofers?

ES290 or 600? What does Crow advise?))
Some ATH4?..
Is JBL M2 waveguide wide enough?)
The link to the ABC forum won't open for me right now. But I lived for some time with the XT1464; now a friend is happy using them.

So many performance tradeoffs to keep track of when choosing among horn/driver combos. The M2 may have good x & y coverage for my listening space but I don't know if unlike Troy Crowe's ES600 and/or ES290 horns it may keep the drivers too far apart where loss of coherency may happen. Also, it the mouth has inadequate rollover diffraction effects can happen.

I'm (Oltos) trying to learn as much as I can from those here.

Do you have (or have you had) any horns\waveguides?
How do you like this?: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...ity-to-buy-a-world-class-midrange-horn.42761/
Been using Sennheiser HD650 forever. Can't wait to abandon headphones forever. Only speakers I have presently are these in my bedroom for the TV.

No, those Klipsch K402 clones are too big to safely sit atop my 25" w x ~ 18" d midwoofers, plus their dispersion angles would presumably well overshoot the midwoofers.

From the same post by Art: Your preference for the vertical and horizontal coverage in the room placement and seating distance you choose must be known for you to make a valid decision.
 How could I have missed this? Okay, see my reply to Art here. https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/radian-951be-vs-18sound-nd4015be.413585/post-8113865
