I assume the XLR is a 4-pin so it can be used with balanced amps ?
The Thomann cable is for 3 pin (to connect XLR to 6.3mm TRS jack.

When your XLR is a 3-pin you need to insure the ground pin is 'common' and that L and R are correct.

An option would be to order a 4 pin XLR connector along with it (if this is the case) and (have ?) that connector mounted on the 6.3mm TRS cable instead of the 3 pin XLR connector.
To be frank, I have no idea. I bought the Fostex's which came in this manner.

Then the ordered cable won't work.
You could order along a 4 pin connector and (have ?) the 3pin replaced by the 4-pin.
Chances are Thomann did not ship the cable yet.
Contact them to put a short hold on it or maybe cancel it.

The 4-pin needs to be connected in a specific manner. There is no real standard for this.

I just sent them a message regarding the cable and asking for a cancelation.

Sorry, I didn't give 4 pin XLR a thought.
Though, this thread illustrates how much we need to pay attention when we order things on the internet. Too easy to buy stuff and it not be right.

So, he wants:
4-pin female XLR to 1/4" 6.35mm TRS male
...and the price goes up by another $15 US!

Note to OP: Don't go looking for a 3.5mm TRRS to 4x RCA cable, the type that goes into a Raspberry Pi and does audio and composite video. It's not even a case of making sure you buy the right connectors, the soldering schemes are different on these and the ground can be on the wrong pin!

Also it needs to be known what the L+, L-, R+ and R- is on the XLR.
This you can measure on the supplied XLR to 1/8 cable.

Most likely pin config:
XLR pin 1 =L+ (needs to be connected to Tip) of TRS jack)
XLR pin 2 = L- (needs to be connected to Sleeve of TRS jack)
XLR pin 3 = R+ (needs to be connected to Ring of TRS jack)
XLR pin 4 = R- (also needs to be connected to Sleeve of TRS jack)

Use duct-tape or gorilla bond to secure the 1/8 plug into the adapter. ;)

Luckily I got both the orders canceled and refunded. Now onto figuring out which cable to buy.

This is not an option, as I want to use this 1/4 plug for my Denons (after they are rebuilt with walnut and moded with dynamat).
Also I want to have the option of 2 cables: XLR to 1/4 and XLR to 1/8, just to be on the safe side, because you never know.

Here's some options I found but they're all not cheap. Surely someone can find you budget options

After seeing those prices, I think I might go with:
Use duct-tape or gorilla bond to secure the 1/8 plug into the adapter. ;)
Will just get another 1/4 golden plug for this. That should be easy.
Thank you all for helping me out.
