Hello, I've been using the ibasso dx170 and after returning it for a replacement early last year, it has fully died. So now after a replacement player.

My budget is £600, however can go a bit over.
It will be paired with a Dan Clark Audio Aeon NOIRE X
I currently have no amp, that is next on my buy list once I got a player sorted out and more cash.
After all the issues I've had with the ibasso dx170, I want to avoid ibasso, and go with something with better build and software quality even if the sound quality is but worse.
edit: Just to say, want a new player, rather than second hand.

Would be grateful for any help, thanks

For that budget maybe a second hand/open box/refurbished Fiio M15s could be a good choice as 1200mW at 32 Ohm should be enough to drive Noire X. The device is rather heavy though and has an old Android 10 on board if it's a concern for you.

Hi, if you have an Android phone, you do not need a DAP. You only need a lifetime license for the USB AUDIO PLAYER PRO APP (around 15 USD) plus the fabulous QUDELIX 5K DAC/AMP (available at DROP for 149 USD ..... there are many excellent DAC/AMPS .on the market around 100 USD margin....but only a few have fully developed EQ).
The total is around 160 USD and the combination will play any DAP into the ground.

If you use a streaming service choose TIDAL and connect to it through UAPP..

If you need more info, do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks for the reply, my phone is a nokia 105, so this is not an option for me.
