Yes. The top surface of the bottom sub is slick and the rubbery feet of the top sub have really small contact points. It would be easy to dislodge the top one without the kit (especially if you stack three).

D'accord. LFE has been (and is) a minor issue with me since the vast majority of my MCH collection does not (and never will) have one. I don't know why it is needed with a really good system.

Depends on your setup/hardware. In my base setup with everything running under JRiver, I clone the LFE to my other subs before DL-ART gets access to them.
