We are here -- on ASR -- because even 16/44 deserves accurate reproduction. If a DAC can't even manage to pass 16 bits cleanly, it is to be avoided.

Buy a WiiM Amp, a pair of bookshelf speakers, and some cables. Plug USB flash drive with FLAC files into Amp rear panel. Control via phone/tablet. EDIT: I've just learned there is a beta WiiM app for Windows and MacOS if you prefer to manage via PC.
