Moode can be set to join your own home wifi network or it can be set up as to form its own Wifi network (with a Moode SSID). In the latter case it has no internet connection unless you add an ethernet cable.

Perhaps the definition should be more precise to show the possible complexity: A streamer box is some sort of single/multi room hardware and cabled or wireless based interface for streaming audio content from an in-home source and/or from an external internet based source. Does that cover it?
