reinstalling drivers is a fix, so hopefully it is not a hardware issue

i've got a problem with dsd playback with this unit. There is only pink, high frequency noise when i play dsd files, no matter software i use, there is dsd info on screen and reinstalling xmos helps for a while. Is my unit deffective? @SMSL-Mandy

@SMSL-Mandy can you tell me is this dac safe to plug with singxer sa1 with dc offset mod (will it produce a dc offset in different words)?

Since i have returned ex5 and found that mini jack to cinch splitter i'm using has messed up channels (red is left!! haha) my impressions may had been wrong.

so yeah, i've compared this one with THX789 and big no... EX5 is somehow muddier, there is a lack of transparency, cleanness, less umph in bass, less dynamic than THX. Drop made trully excellent amp, shame it didn't made dac which will be popular as THX with balanced outputs. I'm returning EX5...
