Just trying to compare soundstage, detail definition and physical presence of the musicians and emphasizing how this D90SE is good compared to Accuphase top notch. Not any scientific measurement used here.

Once more astonished by this sub 1K DAC. Setting it for pure DAC (no pre amp) XLR output only, Bluetooth off, FTIR 7 for PCM and 5V got me almost 70% sound pleasure compared to my 13 times more expensive Accuphase DC950 that uses two D90SE chips one for each channel and a beefy power supply...

Sorry but it does sound wonderful if used as a DAC only with balanced output only and connected to a balanced rig. I do not believe a D10S or E30 can match it’s sound. It is pure heaven

D90SE is fully balanced with top ESS Sabre chip and full MQA. So, if you have a fully balanced pre amp/amp/integrated amp that is the Stairway to Heaven!

So, iFi Zen streamer is a better solution with same sound quality but without the gapless issues of SD-9. What a pity since the SD-9 seems to have more bang for the bucks.

Actually the only advantage of I2S and USB over SPDIF is the ability to carry DSD native and higher PCM resolution than 24/192. I2S also allows carrying clock signal apart.

By the way can you point a top app to iphone that can replace mconnect without the gapless issue?

Wow factor is high with this SD9 connected via USB to D90SE from the start. Jawdroping! Lots of details, huge and holographic soundstage. Without any burn in used with a dedicated pre/power/speakers is amazing.
