Has anyone noticed any difference between 1.87 and 1.88 firmware?

I'm not that worried about it. Lol Just seems like the volume is a bit lower.

Would someone please measure the output voltage again after the 1.88 update and see if it's the same?

Can you hear a difference between them? They're all pretty close. Does anyone prefer the tube sound over the stock setting?

Are you using the balanced connection on the dac?

I got the pre90 a couple months after the dac.

Sounds like you got a bad unit. Have you tried updating the dac to the latest firmware? Maybe that might help.

Do you have noise when nothing is playing?

I'm using a pre90 from my D90se because I couldn't stand the static and noises I would get when changing sources in pre mode.

So...What has changed after the update? I haven't seen 1.88 available anywhere. Does anyone have a link?

I haven't had any problems running both at the same time. I don't tell any difference.

If there is lag it isn't very much.

I think no effect sounds the best. Tube isn't bad though. It's nice to have options;)
