Is the 805 any better?

I more interested if the an1000 can power my speakers.

I sold the 3800 to get a 4800 but I can't find one. And then the an1000 popped up but it has a very low power output.

The reason is that I had the x3800h and it was great with the pl300. When you google an1000 vs x3800h, it seems that the an1000 sounds better.

Can the Sony AN1000 run 5 x Monitor Audio platinum PL300 speakers? They have a sensitivity of 90db.

Don't buy the cable.

The internal pictures look the same.

Aren't these the same internally?

Is the different DACs even audiable?

You could buy the x3800h for £800 and give it a go?

What a mess in amps. Just use the denons amps as I bet you won't be able to tell the difference.

I have never used Dirac. And the av8805 sounded muffled with audyssey off and on. Tone controls helped.

I have a lexicon mc10 and sda7200 and may want to go back to a one box solution. The sound from the av8805 was so muffled and I felt deaf. MC10 brought the sound back to crisp and clear.

I was hoping for an answer! Lol. I absolutely hated the sound from the AV8805 and I can get a x8500ha for a good price.

The Arcams and Marantz av8805 have measured badly unlike the x8500. Does this mean that the x8500 will sound better than the avr850/avr10/av8805?
