    ATC Loudspeakers 'Entry' Consumer Series

I agree about the ferrofluid. It only dries out over time and the tweeter is no good. Better to have an underhung coil in a dry gap, large magnet, and proper suspension. But of course this costs money.

Once you get to the SCM50 or higher both consumer and pro use the same drivers. I'd jump on this awesome deal: https://solen.ca/products/speakers/home-speakers/woofers/sb75-234s08/ If I didn't just order 4 of these beauties :)

    ATC Loudspeakers 'Entry' Consumer Series

They make incredible drivers. Their finished Audiophile market products are overpriced if you ask me. Better to go for the pro line as they are the same thing as the Audiophile line but with worse cabinet finishes and half the price. That dome mid is one of the best mids available. But yes...

    Crown amp owners, what's next?

So you cherry pick the 2nd worst company out of a sea of dozens of AOIP capable products with SOTA DSP capabilities, and use that as your example? Goes to show your lack of knowledge in this field.

Then we have dozens of Ravenna based solutions in the works. And let's not forget the dozen or so other AOIP protocols pro audio companies use. All offer...

    Crown amp owners, what's next?

How is any of this relevant to any of Amir's home audio clients? Besides what you're describing can easily be handled with any AES 67 compliant amp.

    Crown amp owners, what's next?

That's a very poor analogy. If I could get a superior car for less money from a small manufacturer who builds with pride and supports their local community I'll buy from them in a heart beat. Luckily with audio we have 100's of options to do just that.

    Crown amp owners, what's next?

Anyone with an ounce of ethics won't give a crap about that. Why support those pigs when there's 100's of other salt of the earth manufactures out there with superior products for less money? Companies who care about their workers and their country, not just the bottom line for investors!

    Crown amp owners, what's next?

A little better explanation here. http://wvpe.org/post/crown-audio-elkhart-closing The part that warms my heart the most is this politically correct statement: “We’ve blended the products to turn them into a unified one Harman solution. Within that construct we begin developing redundancies...

    Crown amp owners, what's next?

Yes the typical Crown end user doesn't know the difference between good and bad sound, so likely they won't care about ethics either.

Jinjuku are you also a Harman rep? If so you better contact your superiors and get to the bottom of this. Amir has already expressed his empathy for the situation.

@amirm, I can imagine your dealership sold 1000's of Crown amps over the years. What's your plan for future support for your Crown amp clients?

    Crown amp owners, what's next?

After reading this post here: I was feeling very secure about going with Crown for my next amp purchase. But now that Samsung has decided to axe the Crown division altogether, what's that mean for Crown owners? Will parts be available in 10 years still?
