    Gustard X18 Review (Stereo DAC)

Oversampling in audio applications is a process to get a more 'curvy' waveform by generating intersamples. In the experiment from this video, a signal near 0dBFS was fed and the oversampler ‘guessed’ there was a peak over 0dBFS between two sample points. In music, the peak is a louder signal...

    Gustard X18 Review (Stereo DAC)

The output impedance is 100Ω. We haven‘t thought it can be a advertising feature:facepalm:

    Gustard X18 Review (Stereo DAC)

Not 'commercial products' but 'products received out of China'. Most of users on ASR are not in China who will only receive the batches after bug fixed (the first batch shipment started from today). The first batch in China already got fixed solution. It is only a logistics difference but not...

    Gustard X18 Review (Stereo DAC)

They will not, all Shenzhen Audio will receive the first batch of products this week where the bugs were fixed last week. The stock in China is in our own factory which is easy for us to fix.

    Gustard X18 Review (Stereo DAC)

Two levels of analog attenuators reduced loss of traditional digital volume. However, if you want a better sound, a good preamplifier will be a choice.

    Gustard X18 Review (Stereo DAC)

You are right bro, there's no 'perfect software', but we are always trying to do the best in development. Big bugs were killed before batch production. Once new bugs noticed by users, we will keep tracking and solve it as soon as possible. All the firmware updates would be released and stored on...

    Gustard X18 Review (Stereo DAC)

You can get a better SINAD by setting volume to -2 dB on the machine's panel instead of your instrument. We integrated an analog attenuator which has better performance.

Gustard X26Pro firmware release (F20 beta)

Can you describe how is the noise like? Is your system in the common listening volume(using DAC's volume or amplifier's volume)?(Or take a video?) I have discussed with our firmware engineer. 24.5 on display is common for most Linux devices. Last update is trying to fix the noise in normal...

Gustard X26Pro firmware release (F20 beta)

Thanks for your feedback. The '24.5Mhz' is caused by some OS which will put XMOS into an unpredicted mode with random noises. We added some rules in F20 to avoid this situation and did a lot of tests. From your post, I saw you entered '24.5Mhz' again. Please try to repeat it and describe the...

Gustard X26Pro firmware release (F20 beta)

If you find the dropout on all the filters when using spdif, the problem should be from your signal source or cable. The optical, coax and AES shares the same signal path in circuit, if it is about filters‘ problem, you should get the same dropout on any of these 3 ports

Gustard X26Pro Review (Balanced High-end DAC)

We do not have a standalone tool yet, I'm not sure whether the following Linux method would work on macOS or not. The easiest way is still to use a windows device.
