PC? Single seat setup? You can also start by doing your crossovers in EAPO and go with just the stereo license.

For a single sub and single seating position it's not worth it. Much more cost effective and similar results by using the high-pass and built-in sub crossover, if you have those features. EDIT: Should point out Dirac in general is absolutely worth it, no matter the setup.

I think the only proper audition can be had inside your listening space. I feel auditioning speakers outside the listening environment is similar to sitting inside a car at an autoshow.

Had the original LS50s, have the M16s. Prefer the M16s by quite some margin. The LS50s build quality blows away almost everything else I've had, though.

Don't need science for this one. Place your speakers near the sidewalls and experiment with a wide range of toe-in/out.
