I've got a Lexicon MC-8 spare I found Music Surround/Music Logic very good, you can adjust the center/front speech mix, front/back panning, surround roll off etc. So much more adjustability than my Tonewinner AT300

Or buy cheaper streamer and use coaxial output. If stereo sound is important you wouldn't be considering a AVR, you'd be using a stereo integrated amp plus the eversolo analogue out.

Generally AVR's suck for hifi stereo sound. This forum is about numbers, which is fine. However a good quality stereo integrated amp will sound better than the similar priced AVR.

Don't have the income to "give things a go" Would have to get 6700/6800 to get front wide support. AV pre which meet my needs would be AVM90 (I have three subs) not spending £7000 on a av pre that is absurd.

It's their own type, I found auto to be absolute rubbish. Best method would be to plot responses in REW and manually enter them. It's a bit of a pain. If you've ever used Yamaha manual entry PEQ its' basically the same as that. Frequency, dB reduction/boost, and Q width.

Hdmi 2.1 means extra cost. Anthem avm70 2.1 etc That's why I bought tonewinner at-300. £1050 and does what I want. Would be great if it had the room EQ like Dirac or anthem ARC but at 1/4 the price it's ok for me

For music , it should be ok. For music I find it's best if the sub is a few db lower than the mains
