@Neuromorphism what about trying: PC -> Orei (HDMI), then Orei -> TV (HDMI), and Orei -> DAC (SPDIF) DAC -> Motu (analog) Do the measurements change?

@amirm does your equipment have the ability to measure the impedance of the cable/connectors to determine if it’s really 110ohm? I’ve seen anecdotal discussions over the years that many cables which claim 75 or 110 ohm impedance actually are not...

k. Using Roon could be another way. USB DAC is a convenience feature on these devices...

just curious, does the Apple USBc device also appear in the RECORDING tab of Windows Sound? In other words, does the combo of the USB-c adapter + Apple USBc headphone device also expose an Input to the host PC? We know that via an iPad this item is also an ADC+MicPre of sorts.

It might be interesting to compare both of Apple’s $9 dongles.... this review is USB-C to 3.5mm (from a Windows PC), there’s also Lightning to 3.5mm (from a recent iPhone)

Also, can you do a dashboard for SPDIF input (assuming what’s posted is USB?)
