    I am in the market for a Topping DM7 eight channel DAC, but can’t find a black one. Amazon has silver ones, but no one seems to have them in black finish I did not see the DM7 listed on Topping’s website. Anyone know what’s going on? Is it discontinued already? If so, what will replace it...

    Just one more point. If you use Roon, it can load and run DRC filters generated by software of your choice,e.g. Acorute, Rephase,Audiolense, etc, so you may not need hardware DRC.

    Are we sure the coax mid- tweeter is the same? Since it no longer needs to produce bass, the coax could be optimized differently. Having said that, the cone profile and geometry look very similar, so the directivity is, i agree, unlikely to be too different from the bookshelf speakers.

    I just hope the floor standers have wider HF dispersion than the two preceding models. The Andrew Jones designed coaxial ELAC speakers sounded somewhat congested on large scale orchestral music because of their narrow directivity.

    Yes. Optimally, we would like to have a choice of either sending the analogue input without A/D conversion to the output or have the ability to switch it through the A/D stage so that DSP could be applied. That is why I asked whether this feature is hardwired or could it be changed in firmware.

    That’s a poor decision by the design team IMO. So now DSP processing cannot act on the analogue inputs? Is this a hardwired limitation or could it be changed via a firmware update? Can you please enquire.
