I'm surprised that wall mounted speakers like these Dali aren't more popular with the people you described. Mounting the TV on the wall and straddling it with two or three of these would make for an attractive setup. It'd be much easier to fit them into your decor than the sets you linked...

I could have sworn they measured the Elac Debut 2.0 lineup when they first started doing soundbars and posted results to reddit's hometheater sub. I can't find any mention of it now though. There was quite a long thread on it.

Where are you finding them for much less than retail? I've been looking for a month in the United States and haven't been able to find them discounted.

How audible is the distortion for this center and the bookshelves?

It seems to be a polarizing colorway. Personally, I think it's one of the neatest speakers that I've seen years.
